Poland

“In the final analysis, I believe in man, in spite of men” (Elie Wiesel)

Never Forget

The story of the Jewish people in Poland can be traced back to King Bolesław of Poland, who in 1264 invited the Jewish community to make Poland their home. For centuries, Jewish life flourished, and Poland became the birthplace of religious movements and cultural traditions that continue to shape Jewish communities around the world today. Although the country is forever linked to the horrors of the Holocaust and the existence of six major concentration camps, it now stands as a place of remembrance, education, and reflection. Each year, thousands visit to learn, to remember, and to ensure that we never forget.

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN WARSAW

The journey begins in Poland’s capital city, Warsaw. After arrival, participants explore key sites that reflect the vibrant Jewish life that once existed here, including the Warsaw Jewish Cemetery, Umschlagplatz, Mila 18, and the Warsaw Ghetto Heroes Monument. A visit to the remaining Ghetto Wall fragments provides powerful insight into life during the Holocaust. The day concludes with an orientation and dinner in the city.
